St. Philip Church

Climbing a street of steps, the children came to St Philip’s Church. Inside, they found corridors that echoed of prayers and caring priests. In a secret chamber, hidden behind a tapestry, they discovered ancient medical documents and jars of potions, as centuries ago the convent served as a hospital, saving people suffering from the terrible plagues that swept through Malta. The children were in awe of the priests’ role in protecting the community during terrible times.
